Hiring a patent engineer to replace a departure

Autonomous management of different patent portfolios related to different technologies:

• Collaboration, interface and advisory role with engineers-inventors and various business managers as well as with the Managers of the Innovation department.
• Your interlocutors are present both in France and abroad Animation of IP meetings with technical teams (Innovation / Business) to capture inventions, clarify protection opportunities, identify patentable solutions, specify desirable areas of protection.
• Realization of studies prior to patent filings (state of the art, patentability studies) directly and / or subcontracted Drafting patents directly and/or in collaboration with IP firms Management and monitoring of examination procedures before IP offices
• Supervision of the administrative work of patent assistants in relation to managed portfolios Management, revision and valuation of managed patent portfolios
• Advice and opinions on actions with legal implications in terms of patents Realization of freedom-to-operate studies (identification of competitors' patents, analysis of patent validity, participation in the implementation of attack or defense strategies vis-à-vis competitors)
• Participation in the monitoring of competing patents, legal follow-up Active participation in the management of patent litigation and pre-litigation collaboration with the Legal Department (counterfeiting analysis, constitution of legal files of attack or defense, participation in the conduct of litigation with lawyers), advice on litigation and negotiations
• Supervision and interface with IP firms and consulting partners, foreign agents for the processing of filing files, the follow-up of procedures, possible IP disputes and other subcontracted studies Actor in the development and management of the intellectual property strategy within Soitec
• Participation in the drafting of IP contracts (licenses, co-ownerships, assignments, R&D agreements, NDA) in relation with the Legal team
• Realization of IP Due Diligence studies as part of M&A opportunities in support of the StrategicOffice Department Awareness of the company's teams of the strategic issues of IP and the functioning of patents

• Titulaire d'un diplôme d'ingénieur(e) ou niveau équivalent, de formation supérieure scientifique et technique, de préférence dans le domaine de la microélectronique et des matériaux semi-conducteurs.
• Titulaire du CEIPI et qualifié Mandataire Européen, vous justifiez d'une expérience d’au moins 10 ans entreprise ou en cabinet.
• Votre forte capacité d’analyse et de synthèse, ainsi que votre rigueur et votre pragmatisme vous permettent de gérer efficacement et en tout autonomie les brevets d’une entreprise évoluant dans un contexte concurrentiel fort.
• Vos qualités relationnelles, votre curiosité et votre adaptabilité font de vous un partenaire indispensable pour accompagner les inventeurs, chercheurs de l’entreprise
• Passionné par l’innovation et la PI, votre capacité de vulgarisation et de communication et forte capacité à convaincre vous permets d’accompagner les messages au niveau du Top Management (Comex, Business, Innovation)
• Votre pratique courante de l’anglais (écrit / oral), vous permet de collaborer avec nos équipes multiculturelles et nos partenaires internationaux.
